Inspiration--“Art Forms in Nature”

 Art Forms in Nature

by  Ernst Haeckel

I found this book when I wanted to find some mutated animals as inspiration.

This art book is from a German biologist, Haeckel, who is not only skilled in drawing but also deeply interested in studying marine invertebrates. He is almost like an artist himself.

This biology atlas not only serves as popular science but also showcases the beauty of biological forms from a perspective never seen before. Many artists in the fields of architecture, painting, and design in the 20th century were influenced by his artistic style. A biologist was able to participate in and drive the "New Art" movement.

Perhaps we will never see the real ocean, as it is another world.
