Jellyfish visual refernce

Image
Once I determined that jellyfish were one of my masks, I began to delve into all aspects of jellyfish. I spent a lot of time collecting jellyfish-related material, including images, videos, and scientific information. Searching the internet for various images of jellyfish, I focused on their different species, colours and textures, as well as how they grow in different environments. I pay special attention to their graceful and mysterious appearance, as well as their unique tentacle structure. While observing the forms of jellyfish, I noticed their fascinating transparency and soft body contours. I was particularly drawn to their shimmering bodies and soft tentacles, features that would become key elements of my masks. In addition to their static forms, I also delved into the dynamics of jellyfish. I observed the way they move slowly through the water, as well as the dance of their tentacles and the flow of their bodies. I found that when jellyfish dance underwater, it seems like a lan...

Production process In the animation, I pay special attention to the details and expressiveness of each picture to ensure that the audience can intuitively understand the plot and background. In the picture of nuclear wastewater discharge, I show the direct impact of nuclear wastewater on the Marine environment through the performance of lines. Afterwards, the audience can see that the appearance and behavior of Marine creatures have changed, and this part emphasizes the severity of environmental damage through the changes in the morphology and behavior of organisms. In the second part, I show how humans catch and eat mutated sea creatures. The audience can clearly see the excessive consumption of human resources and the destruction of ecological balance. In the third part, the humans of the year 5023 are transformed into Nuquaster, a monster that combines human and sea creatures, due to long-term consumption of mutated sea creatures. By depicting the appearance and behavior of mutated ...

The first time in London for the Chinese New Year, I did a detailed strategy in advance, and knew exactly that on the second day of the Chinese New Year, Trafalgar, Piccadilly Circus, and China town would have lively ceremonies and performances, and I was also looking forward to the never-before-seen Chaoshan Ying song and dance. Noon time from Charing Cross underground station, all the way from the crowd in addition to people from the people can not see anything, moving slowly to China town, come to shopping foreigners than the Chinese are more crowded, crowded tight, can not move, but also full of New Year's flavour of the lively, full of festive atmosphere.

I watched a lecture by alumna Rina Brgum. I learnt that Brgum is obsessed with light and has made it the material of her work. Influenced by the geometric abstraction of Minimalism and Constructivism, she has made her works visually refined and orderly, in which light is the only changing element, and the interaction with colours blurs the material, form and space of the artwork, giving the viewer a rich sensory experience. Although most of Begum's works use industrial materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, copper, glass, etc., they still give a sense of lightness and weightlessness, which is the result of her desire to bridge the gap between the disciplines of painting, sculpture, and architecture, etc. Begum doesn't like to give names to her works, and hopes that the audience will take away what they want from them, and go on a journey to find their own, without being limited.

This is the script I designed for my animation. I will divide my whole animation into three parts. The first part is about the nuclear wastewater discharged into the sea and the Marine life affected by the nuclear wastewater. The second part is that the mutated sea creatures are captured by humans and eaten; The third part is that in 5023, humans who ate mutated sea creatures for a long time became a combination of humans and sea creatures. This variant is called a Nuquaster.

As a big Harry Potter fan. I think for Harry Potter fans, the Harry Potter factory is a place to fulfil their dreams as a child. It's not just about taking pictures, it's also about letting me know how Harry Potter is filmed. When I visited Diagon Alley, I talked to the staff and learnt that there was a cardboard miniature model, where the director scaled down the footage, made a sand table, and then hooked up a miniature camera to simulate the general effect of the filming, so that I knew how to build the houses later. The director scaled down all the footage, made a sand table, and then hooked up a miniature camera to simulate the general effect of the filming, so that he knew how to build the houses later on, which greatly reduced the cost of filming Although the Harry Potter Factory is only a second-hand studio, it makes me truly admire the art of dreaming, which is the art of cinema.

Nuquaster--Background introduction animation01

After the tutorial with the teacher, the teacher suggested me to make something that could introduce my project background. I think animation is a good way. After looking up many animations online, I find experimental animation is a good way to express the background of my project. In the animation, the origin, development process and goal of the project are vividly displayed, highlighting its unique and innovative points. Through the combination of storytelling, visual effects and sound effects, the background of the project is presented to the audience in a vivid and interesting way, triggering their interest and resonance, and thus better understanding and attention to the project. The following are the links to the experimental animation videos that I refer to. 1.https://youtu.be/V1jwUEcS_jc?si=40Dpm4mlH78lDpI- 2.http://xhslink.com/jtPjrH 3.http://xhslink.com/0WUlrH 4.http://xhslink.com/HwWlrH 5.http://xhslink.com/sZZlrH

Inspiration--“Art Forms in Nature”

Image
Art Forms in Nature by  Ernst Haeckel I found this book when I wanted to find some mutated animals as inspiration. This art book is from a German biologist, Haeckel, who is not only skilled in drawing but also deeply interested in studying marine invertebrates. He is almost like an artist himself. This biology atlas not only serves as popular science but also showcases the beauty of biological forms from a perspective never seen before. Many artists in the fields of architecture, painting, and design in the 20th century were influenced by his artistic style. A biologist was able to participate in and drive the "New Art" movement. Perhaps we will never see the real ocean, as it is another world.
